One of many Intec complaints at Hellopeter.com

I enrolled at Intec , paid my deposit in SEP 2009 and paying monthly. I have not been able to get through to Intec for a period of 2 weeks on thier ' student contact number' when I call HO I am put on hold for a period of 5 or 6 minutes at a time without anyone answering, so I cancel the call.
I have my exams in May this year. Its end March. I have not received my books despite it being 7 months after I have registered, and now I must cram a years worth of matric into 1 months study - If i get my books in the next 2 weeks??????
I want my money back, or a credit for another course to the same value. IF i ever get hold of anyone at Intec.

  1. I have been told that Intec and Damelin Correspondence Colleges are selling courses without even having had them developed and ready on the shelf for delivery to new students. The Computer School is especially guilty of this illegal practice, as they are selling "new" programmes without having had the course developed or the software sourced. Parents are then enrolling on these fictitious programmes, and months later when they do not receive the study material, they are then told that they will have to wait upwards of 3 to 6 months for a refund whilst the money is drawing interest in Mr Chetty's bank account. The DoE and Umalusi must step in now, as they are well aware of these issues but have chosen the "head in the sand" ostrich option. Maybe its because Minister Blade Nzimande's brother is the Chairman of the Educor Nomandla Group?

    1. Voicemail and a busy line...scammers of major proportion I tell you. Customer service is crazy horrible and the owners a bunch of skellems. Do not and I repeat do not make the mistake of joining any educare institution as this is one big joke!!! You ruin peoples credit. I myself have emailed these two and had no response just like the time I wanted to back out and cancel now my credit score is negatively affected and they forcing me to pay for something I never used. People like this don't deserve to be South African citizens because you do not rip off your own people.

Anonymous again.....Hello ,with 80 000 students enrolling through corresponce each year and an excessive growth in 2010 and 2011 you can always expect to have problem areas. we are the first to say we are not 100% but we will strive to service and satisfy any student that has a problem.if theres any student that currently still has a problem , please email me at dale.chaplin@educor.co.za

  6. I have been requesting for a call back from the transfer department for the past week to no avail, for I needed further elaboration on documents I received.
    I called in to the student services department, I called the accounts department, asking if they could transfer me to the Transfer department still they could not help me.
    I went onto the INTEC College site, had a chat ith Miss. Nafisa Saleh, she also referred me back to the student service line and continued on to block my IP while I continued on trying to get relevant assistance from her...

  7. Good evening. I enrolled with Intec in September 2016. I submitted my first assignment at the end of September and have since submitted another 5 and have had no feedback. I've called the student services several times, who advised that I must wait. I also called Nafisa Salhe who said to call the student service department. I've sent emails etc. I'm paying R1000 a month and I don't even know when I will be writing my exams. Intec has been very unhelpful and I'm considering legal action.

    Could anyone assist with a way forward here before I proceed with the legal route?

  8. My daughter and I were looking at Intec for next year now really hesitating with all the bad reports who knows which school on line you can use for Grade 11 and Grade 12 it must be varsity acceptable.

I am currently enrolled with Intec collage, am due to start my exams THIS FRIDAY (11/11/2017), still to date I have not yet received my exam conformation letter, tried calling the collage, I get transferred to the exam departments which put you on hold for as long as you can hold and eventually decide to cancel the call. Am so confused, tried calling Anatha, she is not answering, I have no idea what to do.

    I have sent through all documents(student number10011964956) with regards to my deregistration on the 5th February 2018, after numerous calls and promises from your support team I still have not been deregistered. Last week Thursday your team had advised as below email that the cancellations department was to meet on Friday. However when I called today (ref 31614662) your consultant advised that they have not met yet.
    As a student who pays monthly instalments, I have been waiting for 31 days for a simple cancellation, so I ask is your cancellations department travelling from North Korea to process my cancellation or is it that Intec / Educor robbing South Africans out of their money by delaying processes in order to gain another payment from students?

    I will not be paying another instalment as my request was given over a month ago and nothing has been done, instead students are left calling your support team, who are useless and are taught to lie to hard working students - is this what your proudly south African company does????

    Your team has not been at all helpful to make things worse there is a lie each time they communicate with me, regarding my cancellation and refund of my deposit!!!
    Come on Intec, you are robbing the people of this country and not providing the service your website says you give!!! students look like they are lying when they continuously complain

    1. Ongoing issue since 2017, asked for a cancellation never even got a letter. Now intec is on my credit profile. I never used their service, the usb stick they sent me looked like content I could have downloaded. My point is they fucked up my credit score now I cant even get vehicle finance.

    I have the same problem....
    I am so fed-up with Intec I want to scream. I enrolled one of my workers last year ( 2017 ) March, and paid the full amount.
    De-registartion was done on the 1st of June 2017. I have sent about 50 e-mails.
    When I contact them, they say it has not been reviewed, they will get back to me.
    I have asked to speak to senior management , they refuse to give me a number and just say that they will request an answer.

    I am now loosing my temper when I speak to them, and I get the same answer. We will get back to you.
    After 9 months, and I must just add that I have sent these documents 5 times, as they never seem to receive them.
    I get told to not be rude...
    I am considering taking this further.
    They have taken almost R 6000 of my money, and I am just not getting a response. What else can a person do ?

  12. I did a 2 year diploma with Intec . I want to further my studies with a Bachelor's degree at a university. I was told by the university my Intec Diploma is not SAQA registered and I and unable to do the Bachelor's degree I must redo a diploma that is SAQA registered. Intec are frauds we study so hard pay our fees and end up with an unrecognized diploma. This is setting me back financially and setting back my career. I'm very upset.

  14. I studied with Damelin College a National qualification and finished in 2017 .still now I haven't received a certificate. I've been going there ,they tell me stories but i went there on the13 of August they told me that they have misplaced a hard cope of my management assignment but the results of the assignment are on the system .Ima blank now because it's their carelessness not mine.i have done everything. Please help to get my award

  15. My wife enrolled for an Architectural Draughting Diploma last year with Damelin Correspondence College and had issues from the start. She can never get anybody to respond to e-mails, call back when she leaves messages, etc. Every time we name and shame them, there is a sudden reply that will attempt to sort our problems out, but all they do every time is appoint a new contact person, who after replying once goes off grid and then you are back to square one. All she wants is her exam results and assignments to be marked. It has been 5 months now. Seriously?? I am so frustrated with Damelin Correspondence College I could explode with rage, but they just do not care. This is a money making racket, not a further learning institution! Parents and employers, hear me now: Avoid Damelin at all costs!!!!

    Dear Sir,
    Subject : Complaint about PSN College of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Mela thediyur, Tirunelveli. PIN : 627152. Tamil Nadu.

    I worked as a Professor in Management and Director of Projects from 9th July 2012 to 30th August 2018. (6 years).
    (A) During 2018, on my resignation, they did not pay my salary for 3 months. (Rs 30,000 X 3 = Rs 90,000). The reason for this non-payment is that I have not admitted 3 under graduate students for the year 2018-19.
    (B) Also they have not paid any incentive pay for my 6 years of innovative and valuable Teaching and Presentation works.
    It is a threat and Black mail approach on the faculty.
    (C) They keep 3 attendance registers. (1) Genuine to initial the in and out by the real faculty members, counter initialled in green by the Principal at the bottom (2) With real and many fictitious faculty names to be signed at 1 or 2 months interval for AICTE (3) With real and many fictitious faculty names to be signed at 1 or 2 months interval for UGC.
    (D) I was teaching for MBA classes (1st and 2nd year). In the students list, the number was about 60 students. But the actual students attending the class was about 25 to 30. The balance 30 to 35 students were called “Irregular students”.
    (E) The irregulars are given the marks for internal test, Seminar, Attendance and Assignments by paying money, without attending the classes. They are also given pass mark in the University examination, as the college is autonomous and paper correction is made in the college premises. When I asked about this irregularity, to the past acting Principal {Dr.Balakumar}, he said that it is a practice for all Post Graduate students, as we need extra money (more than the fees) to run the institution.
    (F) But, the college applies this money making technique to all the under graduate and post graduate students (Get the degree by paying money !!!!).
    I request you to take appropriate action, and kindly help me to get my 3 months’ salary dues and departing incentive pay.

  17. Damelin issues FAKE/Fraudulent 'Oxford Brookes University' Degrees. Blames a database error for not being to confirm a learner's details (absolute bullshit ploy) An institution who lies, and played part in a large cover up that affects a -104- if not more ex graduates. They are in for a fight... One they will lose.

  19. In 2010 I deposited R 1 500 to study at intec college, I never studied, myImy application was not successful I was told this was due to my credit status. My deposit was not refunded, I phoned repeatedly but nothing happened.
